Wasn't it on Wii U VC (I missed out on Wii U)? maybe Square Enix is working on a remake of Chrono Trigger for Switch or all consoles. I played it on wii virtual console, great game. ignore the haters, this game is incredible. especially given how bad it's Frame rate is on the old consoles. I mean wtf, Bethesda?! Fallout 3 was GOTY also you know? Fallout 3 not getting a remaster is the one thing that bugs me more than anything in the world of gaming. I mean it's depressing that Bethesda has put so much attention on Skyrim and all the ports and remasters of it yet the only way I can play Fallout 3 is by using my PS3. Genesis kid, so I have no nostalgia for it at all. ![]() Tried to play and finish this game so many times, but it never hooked me. i'm confident that because of this most of us here never played this game. Switch is home to many legacy RPGs whether it be, the trilogy and even newer favourites like, but what's arguably the greatest game of the 16-bit era remains stranded on Steam - tarnished by its launch reputation. If you primarily play on console, there's a high chance you've never had the opportunity to buy Chrono Trigger and that should frankly be a crime. In 26 years there have only ever been 4 releases Super Nintendo (which skipped Europe), PlayStation (also skipped Europe), Nintendo DS & the initially controversial but largely remedied Steam release. However speaking the good word of this classic is about all we can do as there are very few ways for gamers to play this pivotal RPG for themselves. And trust us, there's a lot more we could have said. To celebrate this accomplishment Zion, Jon and special guest decided to sit down and praise the game for over an hour.
